Global chat
Talk with designers from any other country, share your thoughts and your skill — in one place built for designers and nobody else.
What it is
Most designers are spread across general-purpose chat apps where design talk competes with everything else. ND's global chat is the opposite: a single space where the whole community is already in the room, and every conversation in it is about the work.
How it is organised
- Global groups — open rooms anyone can join, for broad conversation across the whole community.
- Local groups — the same idea, scoped to a country or region, so you can find people who work where you work.
- Channels — one-to-many posting for people who want to publish work and thinking rather than chat.
- My channel — your own channel, for your own audience.
Who it is for
Anyone who designs. You do not need a portfolio, a client, or an invite to take part — an account is enough. Clients browsing for designers get their own view of the platform, so the community space stays a designers' space.
Where it goes next
Chat is the part of ND that exists today. Several of the pieces around it are still being built — see the roadmap for what is coming and roughly in what order.
